I'm very happy to know you!
With the pages on my website, you will get a better idea of how I operate as a teacher and as a person full of curiosity about my new home here in Taiwan.
I love to be in school with my students and colleagues. It is my joy to see my students grow into confident, creative, and hard-working young people. It is my privilege to work with my colleagues to learn from them and build my own skills through their example.
I enjoy a simpler kind of life and prefer living outside of a city so that I can see nature around me. It is refreshing to see the sky, feel the breeze, and catch the scent of flowers in the air.
You will see the kind of personality I present in the classroom.
You will also find the following:
My teaching ideology.
The foundations and values with which I run my classroom.
Rules for my Students and for Myself.
Living in a new country while trying to learn the language presents some challenges when it comes to remembering what you see and experience.
Here is where I help myself remember the places I've visited, the foods I've tried, the festivals I've attended, the names of the art and music I've experienced, and so much more. This allows me to appreciate my new home more deeply.
You can have bad days as a foreigner living in a new country.
What helps you get through those days is remembering all of the happiness and success you have along the way (big or small), such as:
Amazing places you were fortunate enough to see.
Things you've learned that helped you grow as a person.
Friends you've made (even if you lose regular contact) and the lives you've touched.
Students you cared for, supported, and encouraged.
The laughter you brought to others' lives.
Ways in which everyone with whom you came to know and learn from have touched and impacted your life in return.
This page is a chronological collection of some of my favorite memories of my time in Taiwan.
Here you will be able to see some English Vocabulary videos I have made in order for students to practice at their own pace, and using words and sentences that apply to my students' experiences.
